• Slow growing fist year, grow as perennial

• Highly pubescent

• Purple flowers

• Peppers vary in shape but in general are apple or oblong with an inward apex

• Black are seeds

• 2 to 4 lobes

• Will not cross with common C. frutescens, C. annuum, C. chinense

• Might cross with C. cardenasii or C. eximium
