Growing Rocoto in the Bay Area

• The Bay Area is an almost optimum climate for growing rocoto. Especially near the coast.

• Rocoto grows in primarily in sheltered valleys.

• Grows well in cooler climates and is tolerant of up to freezing temperatures. Will not tolerate temperatures < 20F

• To appreciate this plant, you must grow it as a perennial.
